A Forestry Home

I miss the warm touch of summer’s calming breeze. I miss the feeling of joy as I ran through the woods that surrounded me. I miss the sounds of birds that are now replaced with the constant banter of the bar across the street and the loud buzzing of a small city. I miss the fresh air that would fill my lungs and calm my head. Now all that fills my lungs is the exhaust fumes from the cars that race past trying to get some place fast. I miss the freedom of being young, and I miss the forest. I’m trapped in a brick cell, and I’m going insane.
